A message from a famous Nelson Old Boy - Musician Phil Collins:-
"I have many, many happy memories of my time at Nelson. Although I do
remember tears being shed when my mum left me there the first day. I was in
Mrs Pilot's class and she was a lovely lady. I soon adjusted.
I made many friends at the school and some of us went on to Chiswick County
Grammar School together. We remain in touch to this day.
I also remember being encouraged by a couple of the male teachers to pursue
acting, I suppose I'd been part of an end of term show and shown off and in
doing so, impressed them.
Thanks for that !
Anyway, I wish the best to all the former teachers and my friends from that
period.
